Nokia Expects MobiTV Take Up By 2008
Nokia expects a mass take up of mobile TV by 2008. After dozens of trials they expect mobile users will enjoy TV and even pay between 5 to 10 Euros a month for it.
A challenge to the roll out is the MobiTV broadcast standard. Nokia favors the European DVB-H standard, but the preferred frequencies are not available throughout the continent. That means certain countries like Finland, France, Spain, Italy and the Netherlands will get TV faster than other countries.
