The Branding of Polaroid

Nosiy Decent Graphics have found an absolute gem of a blog which tracks the branding of Polaroid cameras from the 1950s.


It takes readers on a journey from the poorly branded product of 1957 with the odd name up to 1977 and the launch of the Polavision camera. It’s a fantastic read and shows just how iconic the Polaroid packaging became. Much of Apple’s current packaging seems to be influenced by the excellent Polaroid packaging of this era.
