Green Marketing

by Henry Lambert

The prolific John Grant is currently working on his next book, working title ‘The Green Marketing Manifesto’. As a result he’s putting lots of time into researching the rise of eco marketing in the UK and US. He’s just written an interesting article on Green Marketing for Mediacat in Turkey.

“I would say that the three main change-bringing trends in marketing are digital, green and global. It’s that big. In fact this year in the UK green is looking bigger than the other two combined.

“It’s also a very tricky subject. Lots of mistakes have been made and there are lessons to be learned about how not to do it, as well as how to do it. One of my many theories about green marketing - which if you follow it will help you avoid many of the risks as well as take full advantage of the opportunities - is this:

“It’s about making green stuff seem normal (and it’s not about making normal stuff seem green)”
