Absolut New Orleans

Iconic Swedish vodka brand Absolut have come up with a fantastic promotion. They are launching a special edition New Orleans bottle. The Absolut New Orleans is mango and black peppered flavour and will go on sale from the 1 August - the second anniversary of Hurricane Katrina hitting the city. All the proceeds from sales will go towards the Gulf Coast Charities.

USA Today reports that “A national print ad shows people returning to the city to rebuild. Absolut is known for print ads highlighting U.S. cities, a campaign it started 20 years ago.”

Tim Murphy of Absolut commented:

“Things like Absolut New Orleans reiterate that Absolut is … on the cutting edge of social commentary… It’s a novel concept for the industry, and we think there will be some real buzz about it.”
