Fixies
“The purest, simplest kind of bicycle is the fixed-gear bicycle. Riding a fixed gear will make you a stronger, smoother cyclist…and it is a ton of fun!”
Sheldon Brown
This year seems to be the year of the bike. London has seen the Tour De France kick off for the first time and everyone seems to be cycling. One of the most popular styles of bike in London right now is the fixed gear of fixie and in the tank outside the Design Museum there is an installation celebrating the cycle courier’s favourite bicycle. Inside the Museum is featuring Fixed an exhibition curated by Ben Wilson, industrial designer and bike fanatic.
