Together Everywhere: EURO 08 Goal-triggered Ringtones

area/code recently created a mobile campaign with BEAM for their client PUMA for Euro Cup ’08. With the system, you choose which country you’re following in the Euro Cup 08, and PUMA will send you a celebratory ringtone for that country. It gets associated with a specific number. Then every time your team scores a goal, PUMA will call you and that ringtone will go off. Kevin Slavin of area/code says:

Picture this with lots of people in a crowded bar, or alone on a bus, or by the thousands in a stadium. Everyone’s phones going off all at once with the German cheer, or the Spanish chant. Or whatever. “Together Everywhere” is the line… We love this, it’s just a little bit radical.
